Endocrinology & Diabetes

Hormone disorders require specialized care. At Southeast Georgia Health System, our endocrinologists are dedicated to this field. They provide innovative treatment for a variety of conditions, including:

  • Adrenal and pituitary disorders
  • Diabetes (including gestational diabetes)
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Osteoporosis
  • Thyroid disease

What to expect from our endocrinology team

After you’re diagnosed with an endocrine issue and referred to our clinic, our board-certified doctors will work with your primary care physician to determine the best approach to treat your unique situation. The goal is to help you successfully manage your condition — and thrive.

Our clinic in Brunswick, Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Endocrinology & Diabetes, is conveniently located with a lab nearby. In addition, we are able to complete A1C and blood glucose testing, fine needle aspirations and ultrasounds in the office. This means you and your endocrinologist will have convenient access to the data needed to make timely, informed decisions about your health.

Expert diabetes care

Managing diabetes can be a challenge. That’s why our endocrinologists provide personalized treatment plans. We work with you on an ongoing basis and partner with medical device reps to teach you how to use tools like continuous glucose monitors.

In addition, we offer a robust diabetes education program. It provides free group classes about how to control your condition. One-on-one guidance is available, too, and is covered by most insurances except for co-pays/deductibles.

Ask for a referral to an endocrinologist

Speak to your primary care provider about your diabetes and endocrinology concerns. If working with an endocrinologist is right for you, your physician will provide a referral. For more information, call 912-466-5601.
