Visitors

Visiting policy

At Southeast Georgia Health System, we understand that visits from family members and friends can lift the patient’s spirits and may also help speed recovery. Therefore, we support visitation during hours that work best for our patients and their visitors.

Specialized units may have individual restrictions and/or flexibilities for their patients. In addition, children under the age of 12 have more vulnerable immune systems and may be restricted from some patient areas. Please talk with the patient’s nursing team for more information.

Public doors are locked from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the Brunswick Campus and 10 p.m. to 5:45 a.m. on the Camden Campus. During after hours, visitors can leave or enter through the Emergency Care Center waiting areas.

Visitor information

If you are traveling to Southeast Georgia Health System from a distance — or have a loved one who will be in the hospital for a while — you may need a place to stay, places to eat and things to do. The following information is provided to assist you. Please note: Southeast Georgia Health System in no way recommends or endorses any business or establishment listed that is not part of the Health System.

We know that the support of friends and family can be a crucial factor in the healing process. That’s why we welcome visitors to our facilities, as well. From the time you drive into our parking lots, to the time you approach the receptionist desk, to the time you spend at the patient’s bed side, it is our goal to provide you with the amenities and consideration you require to make your visit most positive.

If you are a business in the coastal Georgia region and would like to be included on this list, please contact Marketing at marketing@sghs.org or 912-466-2140.
