April 17, 2020 – Southeast Georgia Health System
Volunteer Services announced Jane Lane as the Volunteer of the Quarter for the Brunswick
Campus during their spring luncheon on March 5, 2020.
A Health System volunteer for four years, Lane can be found in the Gift
Shop varying days of the week. She also provides delicious homemade baked
goods for the weekly Tasty Tuesday Treats fundraisers. Lane’s favorite
aspect of volunteering is getting to know all of her fellow Gift Shop
volunteers. “They are a wonderful group and I am lucky that, because
of my floating schedule, I have been able to get to know each one,”
she explains.
Kristin Doll, CAVS, director,
Volunteer Services describes Lane as an emerging leader within the volunteer program. “From
baking sweets for our weekly bake sales and sewing clothing protectors for our
Senior Care Center residents, to serving on the volunteer board and volunteering in the Gift
Shop, Jane is always willing to share her time and many talents,”
says Doll.
When she isn’t volunteering at the Health System, Lane loves to travel.
She also enjoys sewing, baking and gardening. She is married to Tom Lane,
and they have two sons and four grandsons.
More than 300 volunteers generously share their time and talents to assist
patients, visitors, and team members at the Southeast Georgia Health System
Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care Centers in Brunswick
and St. Marys. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Volunteer
