Familiar Face, New Location: Martin R. Artman, M.D., Moves to Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Primary Care

Martin R. Artman, M.D.October 28, 2019 – Primary care patients may recognize a familiar face at their next appointment. Having formerly provided care at St. Simons Immediate Care Center, board-certified physician Martin R. Artman, M.D., is now at Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Primary Care in Brunswick.

Artman earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center and his fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center. He was attracted to a career in health care, and primary care in particular, because he enjoys taking care of diverse illnesses.

“I like people, and I want to try to help them,” says Artman. “It’s important to me to treat the whole patient—to listen to their thoughts, feelings and opinions—and not just their illness.”

Whether he’s treating patients at his former location or his new one, Artman enjoys being part of the Southeast Georgia Health System team. “I love living and treating patients in a suburban community. It’s not too big, not too small, and the Health System has a great referral system. Considering all the specialties in the area, patients have the option to stay close to home and still receive great care.”

Artman considers his sense of humor, in addition to his education and training, as one of the skills that make him a great doctor. “A good sense of humor can help make any situation a little better.” When not working, Artman enjoys exercising, especially jogging and bike riding, and traveling.

Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Primary Care is located in Brunswick.
