BRUNSWICK, Georgia: Dec. 15, 2010– Volunteer Darla Schoeppner, center,
was named the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus Auxiliary’s
Volunteer of the Quarter at the group’s holiday luncheon on Thursday,
Dec. 2, in the Linda S. Pinson Conference Room on the Brunswick Campus.
Schoeppner handles the magazine cart and volunteers in the Marketing/Public
Relations Department and other areas as needed. She joined the Auxiliary
in 2008. “I wanted to volunteer here because the hospital saved
my life,” says Schoeppner, who suffered a life-threatening brain
aneurism in December 2005 and spent several months as a patient at the
Brunswick Campus. “I wanted to give back.”
“Darla’s a very visible face among our volunteers and her uplifting
spirit and personal testimony inspire us all,” says Kristin Doll,
director of Volunteer Services. Pictured with her are Brunswick Auxiliary
President Darryl Toler and Doll. Pictured below are members of the Coastal
