For the birth of her third child, Max, in July 2011, Natasha Williams returned
to the Southeast Georgia Health System Miriam & Hugh Nunnally Maternity
Care Center on the Brunswick Campus. Having delivered her two older children
there, she felt comfortable with the hospital's high level of care.
Upon arrival, Natasha was greeted by a pleasant surprise. The entire maternity
center had undergone a substantial renovation, and Natasha was thrilled
with the decorative touches and home-like furnishings.
During her three-day stay, Amanda Kelly, R.N., became an important source
of support for Natasha, especially in the evenings when her husband, Stephen,
returned home to care for their other children.
Natasha also appreciated the kindness shown by other staff members in the
maternity center. "Max was initially in the nursery because of respiratory
issues and he was so well cared for there. I visited as much as I wanted,
and everyone was very supportive and reassuring—which was wonderful."
