Due to the anticipated deteriorating weather conditions associated with
Hurricane Ian, and for the safety of our patients and team members, Southeast
Georgia Health System’s leadership team is closely monitoring regional
weather forecasts and is in regular communication with the appropriate
agencies, including the Glynn County Emergency Operations Center, to determine
if and when the impending storm may impact our hospitals, physician practices
or senior care centers.
At this time, the Health System is continuing normal operations. No change
in services or schedules is currently warranted.
Please be aware that Southeast Georgia Health System is not an evacuation
or Special Needs shelter. The Health System will continue to provide updates on our services on
our website at
sghs.org/hurricane-Ian and our Facebook page,
facebook.com/sghscares, as well as alert the local and regional broadcast and print media. Additionally,
the community may keep up to date on the Health System’s Hurricane
updates by texting SGHSA to 1-855-242-5701 to receive
emergency alerts directly to their phone.
