Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to welcome
Juan S. Arana, D.O.,
Jacob K. LeBas, M.D.,
Leanna M. Hollander, D.O., and
Benjamin T. Sandifer, M.D., to
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Pediatrics (SGPA-Pediatrics).

Juan S. Arana, D.O., is a board-certified pediatrician practicing at the
SGPA-Pediatrics Brunswick practice (Community Care Center). In 2019, Arana earned his
medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic
Medicine. His heart to serve the community through physical, emotional
and spiritual needs led him to pursue a profession in health care. Originally
from Colombia and fluent in both English and Spanish, Arana is passionate
about bringing care to the Spanish-speaking population in the area. As
a pediatrician, he hopes to have a significant impact on youth through
advocacy and physical care.
Board-certified pediatrician
Jacob K. LeBas, M.D., has also joined the Brunswick
SGPA-Pediatrics team. LeBas attended Louisiana State School of Medicine and went on to
complete his residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center
in 2015. With a background in nutrition, LeBas enjoys helping families
overcome childhood obesity through nutrition counseling and support. His
approach to patient care allows for a more casual environment where he
encourages questions and works with a family as a team to create a plan
that works best for everyone.
Leanna M. Hollander, D.O., a board-certified pediatrician practicing at
SGPA-Pediatrics on St. Simons Island, earned her medical degree from Edward Via College
of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. When asked to share her approach to patient
care, Hollander said “With every patient encounter, I ask myself,
‘if this child were my own, would I be happy with the care he/she
just received?’ I strive for that answer to always be ‘yes.’
I want my patients and their families to feel heard and for their thoughts,
feelings and fears to be validated and addressed at the end of each visit.”
The
SGPA-Pediatrics team at the St. Simons Island location also welcomes board-certified pediatrician
Benjamin T. Sandifer, M.D. After earning his medical degree from the Medical University of South
Carolina, Sandifer completed his pediatric residency through the Children’s
Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.
He genuinely enjoys taking care of others, working together with families
to keep people healthy and interacting with his patients.
