We are in need of team members to assist nursing teams with non-clinical
duties. Directors/Managers: Please post for team members who do not have
access to email.
As most of you are well aware, our hospitals are once again experiencing
a high patient census; that, along with the number of staff who are out
due to COVID, has resulted in significant staffing challenges, especially
for our frontline staff as they take on extra patients and extra shifts.
We continue to request nursing support from the state and staffing agencies,
but until that support arrives our clinical staff need YOUR support. Many
of us who are not clinical by training can lend a helping hand and assist
our fellow team members in a wide range of roles. It may take us out of
our comfort level, but there is no doubt that these difficult times call
for extra effort.
Please take a moment to review the information below and contact Quin Wright
at 912-466-1799 if you can assist. Thank you in advance for supporting
our fellow team members.
- Roles include RN assignments, RN buddies, clinical support, runners, and
sitters. Your background and experience will determine what role you are
eligible for.
- All shifts and days of week need additional support. Weekends and evening/night
shifts, in particular, have a larger need for support.
- Please consider any particular days or times that may not work well for
your schedule prior to reaching out.
- If redeploying during your normal shift, please obtain approval from your
supervisor prior to reaching out.
- Regardless of role or assignment, all team members providing support will
be directed to Team Member Health for N-95 mask fitting and Nursing Education
(Michelle Cox) for COVID-19 preparation/PPE competency sign offs.
-
If you know of any non-SGHS team members who have clinical skills who want
to help, please ask them to email Quin Wright (cwrigh3@sghs.org).
