Southeast Georgia Health System reopened in-person essential visitation
for non-COVID Inpatients on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, and will now also allow
two visitors for non-COVID adult inpatients. Visitors will be permitted
to leave the facility and return at a later time. This does not apply
to the Senior Care Centers.
This update allows for:
- Visitor hours: Daily, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Visitors may leave and return during the day.
- Visitors must enter through the Main Entrance on either campus.
- Visitors will be screened before entry, including temperature assessment
and completion of screening questions.
- No visitors under the age of 18 years.
- Visitors must wear a face covering at all times during the duration of
the visit, including when in patient room.
- Maternity patients: one designated visitor may remain with the patient
for the duration of the hospital stay; one additional visitor per day
is permitted. (Maternity visitors on the Brunswick Campus will enter through
the Miriam & Hugh Nunnally Maternity Care Center entrance.)
- Pediatric patients: two visitors per day. (Pediatric visitors on the Brunswick
Campus will enter through the Miriam & Hugh Nunnally Maternity Care
Center entrance.)
- Adult patients (non-COVID): two visitors per patient per day.
- Outpatient Services/Emergency Care Centers: one visitor per patient.
- Hospice and end of life patients: immediate family members, no limit within reason.
- If the patient is admitted from the Emergency Care Center or surgery, the
visitor must check in at the Main Entrance before going to the patient’s room.

Please be aware that all COVID-19 visitor restrictions will remain the
same as outlined in our
Visitation Restrictions Notice. We will continue to encourage the use of alternative mechanisms for patient
and visitor interactions, such as video-call applications on cell phones
or tablets.
