March 16, 2021 – Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to welcome
board-certified family medicine physician
Danielle N. Mankin, M.D., to
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Primary Care on the Camden Campus. Mankin earned her medical degree from Mercer University
School of Medicine in Savannah. She completed her internship and residency
training in family medicine at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia
and a second internship in obstetrics and gynecology at the Donald and
Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New York. During
her residency, she also earned a diploma in international medicine and
public health.
Mankin discovered her calling early in life and never wavered. “Since
I was little, my dream was to become a doctor. I wouldn’t be happy
doing anything else.”
By treating patients from children to seniors, Mankin accommodates every
member of a multigenerational family. “I love primary care and taking
care of families,” she says. “In addition to getting to know
them on a more personal level, seeing the entire family provides me with
valuable insights into their medical history, health and lifestyle habits,
and culture. This is important since the health of one person can affect
the entire family.”
Mankin sees patients for a variety of reasons – from wellness checkups
and preventative care to diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases,
ranging from diabetes to osteoarthritis. She also treats individuals who
struggle with depression. Mankin’s training in obstetrics and gynecology
is a helpful resource for women seeking information on sexual and reproductive
health, as well as menopausal concerns.
“I’m interested in patient’s thoughts and opinions, and
I believe in shared decision-making,” says Mankin. “I’m
always available to patients when they need me to guide them through a
difficult diagnosis and medical decisions.”
A Georgia native, Mankin was excited to settle in the Golden Isles with
her husband,
Bradley William Newton, M.D., a gynecologist at
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Obstetrics & Gynecology. Camden County not only allows her to work with “excellent primary
care and specialty doctors who care for the whole region,” but is
the perfect spot to enjoy her favorite hobbies, boating and hiking.
Mankin joins a 10-member team of providers at
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Primary Care on the Health System’s Camden Campus. She is currently accepting
new patients. To learn more, visit
