Dec. 11, 2019 –Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to announce
the appointment of James (Jim) B. Lomis to the
Southeast Georgia Health System, Inc. board of directors, effective November 2019. He replaces Gary Willis,
who recently retired from the
Camden Advisory Committee and the
Southeast Georgia Health System, Inc. board.
“We welcome Jim and look forward to his perspective and expertise
as we continue to address the health and wellness needs of our communities
against the backdrop of an evolving health care landscape,” notes
Michael D. Scherneck, president and chief executive officer, Southeast Georgia Health System.

of service and dedication to the Health System.”
A member of the Health System’s
Camden Advisory Committee since 2012, Lomis is a senior vice president at Southeastern Bank where
he serves the Camden County, Georgia, and Nassau County, Florida markets.
A native of Brunswick, Georgia, Lomis graduated from the University of
Georgia with an economics degree. A resident of Camden County since 2002,
Lomis has actively supported the local community. He has served, past
or present, as a board or committee member for various local organizations
including Camden County Joint Development Authority, St. Marys United
Methodist Church Foundation, St. Marys Downtown Development Authority,
Camden County Chamber of Commerce, Magnolia Manor Advisory Board, St.
Marys Industrial Development Authority, Rotary Club of Camden County,
Camden County Fairway Club and United Way. Lomis is an active member of
the St. Marys United Methodist Church.
