The Southeast Georgia Health System leadership team is monitoring the projected
path of Tropical Storm Dorian. At this time, there is still a great deal
of uncertainty about the path of the storm, but it is something that we
need to keep an eye on in case the path shifts. With that being said,
team members should be on alert for what is at this time a remote possibility
that we will have to go into response mode. Certainly we hope that all
of this is just precautionary, but now is the time to be reviewing plans
with your families on what to do if our Planned Emergency Response Team
(PERT) assignments are put into action.
If it becomes likely that weather conditions will impact Southeast Georgia
Health System service areas, we will update the hurricane page on our website:
https://www.sghs.org/hurricane-team. Once we have announcements posted, team members can click on the “hurricane
timeline” to access all our announcements:
We will also continue to send email messages and use our Team Member Text
Alerts to provide weather alerts and updates. We encourage all team members
to sign up for the notifications by texting SGHSTA to 41400.
