The Southeast Georgia Health System leadership team continues to monitor
the projected path of Hurricane Dorian. Consistent with our message yesterday,
there continues to be a great deal of uncertainty about the path of the
storm and we will continue to monitor closely. We are participating in
emergency preparedness meetings twice a day with the Emergency Management
Agency (EMA) officials to discuss the potential threat to our communities
and service areas and may possibly have an update on the impact to Southeast
Georgia around 5 p.m. today.
Please review your emergency plans and make sure your disaster kits are
current! If it becomes likely that weather conditions will impact Southeast
Georgia, we will update the hurricane page on our website:
https://www.sghs.org/hurricane-team. Once we have announcements posted, team members can click on the “hurricane
timeline” to access all our announcements:
We will also continue to send email messages and use our
Team Member Text Alerts to provide weather alerts and updates. Please encourage all team members
to sign up for the notifications by texting SGHSTA to 41400.
