Topic of Upcoming Lunch and Learn For Your Health Lecture
May 17, 2018 – When you or someone you love is hurt or sick, determining
whether it’s a true emergency or a less severe but still urgent
issue isn’t always easy. Knowing the difference between life-threatening
and non-life-threatening medical conditions, and where to seek treatment,
could save your life or the life of your loved ones.
Join us on Wednesday, May 23, as Glenn Gann, R.N., MSN., director, Emergency
Care Center (ECC), Southeast Georgia Health System, presents “Heart
Attack or Ankle Sprain: When To Visit the ER.” The presentation
will offer important information on emergent vs. non-emergent symptoms,
ECC triage protocol, the Health System’s ECC expansion project and more.
The Lunch and Learn For Your Health lecture will be held at the Golden
Isles YMCA from 12 to 1 p.m., and lunch will be provided at no charge
to attendees. A YMCA membership is not required to attend; the Lunch and
Learn is open to the public.
The Lunch and Learn For Your Health series takes place at the Golden Isles
YMCA located at 144 Scranton Connector, Brunswick. Seating is limited
and pre-registration is required by calling the YMCA at 912-265-4100.
