of Upcoming Lunch and Learn For Your Health Lecture
March 20, 2018 – In observance of Endometriosis Awareness Month,
Southeast Georgia Health System aims to raise awareness of a disease that
affects approximately 176 million women worldwide. Endometriosis occurs
when the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus, grows outside
the uterus. It is a leading cause of infertility and chronic pelvic pain.
In addition, it has also been linked to other health concerns, including
certain autoimmune diseases, fibroids, painful bladder syndrome
and
even certain cancers.
To better understand this disease, join us on Wednesday, March 28, as
Lesli G. McQuigg, WHNP-BC, with
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Obstetrics & Gynecology, presents “Endometriosis: Separating Fact From Fiction.” The
presentation will offer important information on diagnosing endometriosis,
managing symptoms, treatment options and more.
The Lunch and Learn For Your Health lecture will be held at the Golden
Isles YMCA from 12 to 1 p.m., and lunch will be provided by Wrap Happy
at no charge to attendees. A YMCA membership is not required to attend;
the Lunch and Learn
is
open to the public.
The Lunch and Learn For Your Health series takes place at the Golden Isles
YMCA located at 144 Scranton Connector, Brunswick. Seating is limited
and pre-registration is required by calling the YMCA at 912-265-4100
