July 10, 2018 – In preparation of its master renovation and expansion
project on the Brunswick Campus, Southeast Georgia Health System is relocating
the Human Resources department to an offsite building at 2801 Parkwood
Drive. This permanent relocation is scheduled for the week of July 9.
Although their physical address will change, the main phone number will
remain 912-466-3100.

The new Human Resources location will provide several improvements for
team members, applicants and the community, including increased accessibility
without the need to enter the hospital and on-site parking.
The Human Resources department relocation is just one piece of the Southeast
Georgia Health System master renovation and expansion project. The entire
project will enable the Health System to meet the health care needs of
the communities it serves and grow with the region to meet future needs.
This three-year, $130 million project includes more than 74,000 square
feet of new construction and 141,000 square feet of renovated space —
all on the Brunswick Campus’ existing footprint. Additional improvements include:
- Emergency Care Center: An increase from 35 exam/treatment rooms to 50 —
including two trauma rooms — will total more than 12,000 additional
square feet overall.
- New Nursing Unit: A new fifth floor will include 32 private, spacious patient rooms.
- Surgical Services Tower: In addition to a new main entry on Parkwood Drive
and a two-story lobby, 16 new operating rooms will be added, as well as
endoscopy suites, a post-anesthesia care unit, and pre- and post-recovery
bays with increased privacy.
-
St. Simons Tower: Many of the patient rooms will be renovated to increase
space, comfort
and
privacy.
The central energy plant will also be upgraded to accommodate the master
renovation and expansion; the entire project is slated to be completed
at the end of 2020. Learn more about this project and sign up to receive
