Senior Care Center-Brunswick Goes Purple to Help Raise Awareness About Alzheimer's
Sept. 26, 2017 – Residents and team members of Southeast Georgia
Health System Senior Care Center-Brunswick rolled out a purple parade
on Thursday, Sept. 21, World Alzheimer’s Day, to help raise awareness
about Alzheimer’s and dementia. It was a display of purple with
a purpose, featuring purple hair, purple balloons, purple shirts and purple
signs. According to the Alzheimer’s Association more than five million
Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and another 15 million are
providing unpaid care for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
