SUBJECT: Operations After Hurricane Irma
Our Medical Staff and Health System leadership have been carefully tracking
recovery after Hurricane Irma, especially in light of the continued restricted
access to Glynn County.
As our community begins recovering from the storm, operations at Southeast
Georgia Health System are largely returning to normal. However, there
are a few exceptions for Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017:
• Cooperative Healthcare Services, Inc. practices are closed today.
• Elective surgeries, endoscopy and elective cardiac catheterization
services are closed today.
• Outpatient laboratory and radiology are being offered on a limited basis.
• Cancer Care Center services including Infusion are being provided
to scheduled patients.
• FREE Prostate Screenings scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 and
Thursday, Sept. 13, 2017 have been canceled and will be rescheduled for
a future date.
If you work in any of these areas, your department Director/Manager has
likely already been in touch with you about operations for today, Wednesday.
Complimentary food services for Team Members working during Hurricane Irma
and their families, ended this morning at 10 a.m. The Cafeteria has returned
to normal operations.
The Health System plans to return to normal operations tomorrow morning,
Thursday, Sept. 14. unless you hear from us otherwise. Please keep in
mind, there may be some operational issues e.g., no power, no water, etc.
with our outlying campus facilities that may result in services being
limited at those locations.
If you have not already done so, please contact your Director/Manager for
your scheduled assignments.
We thank you for your patience as we all work to recover from this weather
emergency and wish your family a safe recovery from the storm.
