Oct. 19, 2017 – Brenda Toth of St. Marys, Ga., was recently named
Volunteer of the Quarter by the Southeast Georgia Health System Camden
Campus Auxiliary.
A
self professed
“cat lady,” Toth spends her Wednesdays volunteering in the
Laboratory in the morning and the Gift Shop in the afternoon. She has
been a Camden Campus Auxiliary volunteer since February 2017.
“The best part about volunteering with the Health System is that
I’ve met so many wonderful people,” says Toth. “Everyone
is so nice, respectful and appreciative. Yesterday a man came into the
Gift Shop and said, ‘Thank you
Brenda
for that smile. You don’t know how much I needed that.’ And
I responded, ‘you are welcome and I can do better than that,’
and I went around the counter and gave him a hug. It’s people like
him that make it all worthwhile.”
Toth also volunteers with the Salvation Army and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
More than 300 volunteers generously share their time and talents to assist
patients, visitors, and team members at the Southeast Georgia Health System
Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care Centers in Brunswick
and St. Marys. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Kristin
