Dec. 26, 2017 – Nadine Black of St. Marys was recently named Volunteer
of the Quarter by the Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus Auxiliary.
Black has been volunteering on the Camden Campus since 2010 and can be
found on Thursday afternoons greeting patients and visitors at the Guest
Services Desk. She says, “What I enjoy most about volunteering at
the Guest Services Desk is the opportunity to help people as they come
through the front doors. We have no idea what they’re going through
and my heart goes out to them. Sometimes just offering a wheelchair for
someone can make a big difference in their day.”
Director of Volunteer Services Kristin Doll, CAVS, says, “Nadine
is always dependable, kind, cheerful and supportive of fellow volunteers,
with a willingness to cover for them when they can’t volunteer.”
Previously, Black volunteered with the American Cancer Society, Sees Candy
Program and other charitable organizations when she lived in California
and Colorado. When she isn’t volunteering, Black especially enjoys
traveling.
More than 300 volunteers generously share their time and talents to assist
patients, visitors, and team members at the Southeast Georgia Health System
Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care Centers in Brunswick
and St. Marys. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Kristin
