Dec. 19, 2017– The Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick and
Camden Campus Auxiliaries presented donations to the Health System during
their recent holiday luncheons. The funds were raised through the Gift
Shop and Auxiliary fundraising events held December 2016 through November
2017. Combined, the $155,000 is the Auxiliaries’ largest donation
to the Health System to date, with each Auxiliary contributing $5,000
more than last year.
“The Brunswick Campus Auxiliary is pleased to be able to make a $125,000
donation to the Health System,” said Joyce Toler, president, Brunswick
Campus Auxiliary. “As we celebrate the magic of Christmas, it is
such a blessing for all of us to come together to support the Health System
and make a difference for our patients.”
The Camden Campus Auxiliary presented $30,000 to the Health System during
their recent holiday luncheon. “It is an honor to present such a
meaningful donation that we know directly impacts patients and their care,”
said Marilyn Masson, first vice president, Camden Campus Auxiliary.
“Our Auxiliary members are very special to all of us at the Health
System, and are often the first person to greet our patients and families,”
said Michael D. Scherneck, president and CEO, Southeast Georgia Health
System. “Each and every one of our volunteers is a gift, and we
are extremely appreciative of their time and commitment to helping us
deliver on our mission to serve the health care needs of our community.”
Auxiliary donations benefit patient care and in the past have included
waiting room furniture, telemetry equipment
and
pediatric unit artwork. For more information about the Auxiliary and volunteer
