Southeast Georgia Health System Auxiliaries recently announced Kathleen
Dawson as the Brunswick Campus Volunteer of the Quarter and Geri Dod as
the Camden Campus Volunteer of the Quarter during their respective quarterly
luncheons.

Kathleen Dawson of Brunswick, Ga., has been a Health System volunteer for
four years. Volunteering two days a week on the Brunswick Campus, you
can find her Tuesday mornings at the Center for Educational Development,
and at Ribbon of Hope on Thursday mornings.
“I was a critical care nurse for 30 years, so it is exciting and
gratifying to meet and interact with new nurses who are just getting started
with the Health System through my volunteer service at the Center for
Educational Development,” notes Dawson. “My role at Ribbon
of Hope is equally rewarding.”
Dawson also enjoys reading and sewing, and serves as the treasurer and
international outreach chair for the Brunswick Women’s Club.

A resident of St. Marys, Ga., Dod has been volunteering at the Camden Campus
for three years. As someone who loves to travel, Dod gets to meet many
different people while volunteering in the Gift Shop on Friday mornings--fellow
volunteers, team members and visitors to the hospital. It is what she
loves most about being a volunteer.
Additionally, Dod volunteers to help during various fundraising sales,
special projects and events. When not at the Health System, she can be
found volunteering at Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach, Fla.,
where she also serves as the secretary on the board of directors.
More than 300 volunteers generously share their time and talents to assist
patients, visitors, and team members at the Southeast Georgia Health System
Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care Centers in Brunswick
and St. Marys. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Kristin
