
James Thomas Brown, Jr., M.D., board-certified family medicine physician,
has joined Glynn Family Medicine Center, a strategic affiliate of Southeast
Georgia Health System.
“One person at a time,” is how Brown describes his patient-centered
approach to care, noting that listening to his patients is the most important
aspect of helping them make a difference in their health.
Brown received his bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University
and earned his doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine in
Macon, Ga. After an internship with East Tennessee State University in
Kingsport, Tenn., Brown completed his residency through the Family Practice
Residency Program at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, now Navicent Health.
Prior to joining Glynn Family Medicine Center, Brown worked at Primary
Care of Southwest Georgia in Thomasville, as well as the emergency departments
at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, Ga., and Brooks County Hospital in
Quitman, Ga. He has also been a preceptor (instructor) for the University
of Florida School of Medicine and Florida State University School of Medicine.
