The Davis Love Foundation and The RSM Classic continued the tradition of
supporting community-based programs that focus on children and their families
by presenting a $25,000 donation to the Southeast Georgia Health System
Foundation on March 1, 2016. Presented by Scott Reid, tournament director
of the RSM Classic, the donation was accepted by Michael D. Scherneck,
president and CEO, Southeast Georgia Health System, and Krista Robitz,
director, Development, Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation.
“Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation is grateful to the Davis
Love Foundation for the incredibly generous contribution,” said
Robitz. “It is an honor to be both their partner and a recipient
of the support they provide to our community.”
Proceeds from previous years’ donations funded the Health System’s
first Kid Fit Challenge, a comprehensive eight-week wellness program developed
for local children, ages eight through 12, to help combat child obesity.
Thanks to the Davis Love Foundation donations, there was no fee for children
to participate in the Kid Fit Challenge.
“We are currently assessing the best use for this year’s donation,
but can say with confidence that it will make a significant impact here
at Southeast Georgia Health System,” Robitz added.
