During their recent “Holiday Whoville” luncheons, Southeast
Georgia Health System Auxiliaries announced Yvonne Horton and Emilia Hubbart
as their Volunteers of the Quarter.
A member of the Brunswick Auxiliary since 2012, Horton volunteers multiple
days a week at the Health System’s Gift Shop, both on the sales
floor and checking in inventory.
“Yvonne is a faithful, committed member of our Gift Shop team,”
said Kristin Doll, CAVS, director, Volunteer Services. “She works
tirelessly several days a week on merchandise and every other weekend
on the sales floor. I am thankful for her ‘can-do’ attitude
and positive outlook!”
In addition to her Health System volunteer activities, Horton enjoys working
on puzzles and spending time with her family.
Emilia
Hubbart
has served on the Camden Campus Auxiliary for more than three years, volunteering
in the Gift Shop every Monday.
“We appreciate Emilia’s willingness to serve in the Gift Shop,”
said Glenda Battle, president, Camden Campus Auxiliary. “She has
a smile for each patron and a warm welcome for all who visit. Our Auxiliary
is blessed to have her as a member.”
In her spare time, Hubbart enjoys knitting, gardening, crocheting
and
reading. Her seven children, 15 grandchildren
and
16
great grandchildren
live throughout the United States and she visits them at every opportunity.
More than 300 volunteers generously share their time and talents to assist
patients, visitors, and team members at the Southeast Georgia Health System
Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care Centers in Brunswick
and St. Marys. To find out more about volunteer opportunities, contact
