Dec. 7, 2016 – The Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick and
Camden Campus Auxiliaries presented donations to the Health System during
their recent holiday luncheons. The funds were raised through the Gift
Shop and Auxiliary fundraising events held December 2015 through November 2016.
“The Brunswick Campus Auxiliary is thrilled to donate $120,000 to
the Health System,” said Joyce Toler, president, Brunswick Campus
Auxiliary. “The volunteers work diligently to ensure the success
of our various fundraisers and are already hard at work planning for next
year, including some exciting new opportunities.”
The Camden Campus Auxiliary presented $25,000 to the Health System during
their recent holiday luncheon held on Dec. 5 in the new Cafeteria Conference
Room. “We are pleased to report we had a 30 percent increase in
sales at our Gift Shop open house this year,” said Glenda

Battle, president, Camden Campus Auxiliary, “and it is an honor to
make such a meaningful donation that we know directly impacts patients
and their care.”
“Our Auxiliary members are on the front lines of care, as they are
often the first person patients and families are greeted by,” says
Michael D. Scherneck, president and CEO, Southeast Georgia Health System.
“Their commitment of time, love and attention to our community,
as well as our team members, is immeasurable, and we are grateful for
their generosity in helping us deliver on our mission to all who walk
through our doors.”
Auxiliary donations benefit patient care and in the past have included
waiting room furniture, telemetry equipment, and pediatric unit artwork.
