September 22, 2015 – Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to
welcome Philip M. O’Connell, M.D., a board-certified family medicine
physician, to the medical staff and to Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Camden
Primary Care, a strategic affiliate of the Health System.
O’Connell earned his medical degree from Georgetown University in
Washington, D.C. and completed his family practice residency at Naval
Hospital Pensacola in Fla. His fellowship in naval flight surgery training
was completed at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute, also in Pensacola, Fla.
Prior to joining the Health System, O’Connell was a senior medical
officer at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay in Ga., one of Naval
Hospital Jacksonville’s six health care facilities. He also previously
worked as a regimental surgeon, senior medical officer at the U.S. Marine
Corps air station in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, and served as a regimental surgeon
in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Camden Primary Care is located
at 2060 Dan Proctor Drive, Ste. 2100, St. Marys, Ga. Office hours are
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. New patients are welcome and most
