September 22, 2015 – Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to
welcome Danielle Shelton, M.D., a family medicine physician, to Glynn
Family Medicine Center.
Shelton earned her medical degree from the American University of the
Caribbean in St. Maarten and completed an internship and family medicine
residency at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, S.C. During her residency,
she also took
call
for the Montgomery Center for Family Medicine Hospitalist service. As
a moonlighting resident, she answered calls on admitted patients and completed
admission history and physical exams for local private practices that
did not admit to the hospital.
Prior to joining the Health System, Shelton was a volunteer physician
with greater Greenwood United Ministry Free Clinic. She is an active member
of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical
Association.
