An Evening With Our Breast Care Team
September 30, 2015– Southeast Georgia Health System will host a breast
cancer awareness event, “An Evening With Our Breast Care Team,”
featuring breast care experts who will address questions and provide important
information, from breast health and mammograms to cancer diagnosis, treatment
and reconstruction. The panel will discuss their experiences in treating
breast cancer, highlight any frequently asked questions in their area
of expertise, and answer attendee questions.
The Brunswick Campus event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 6-7:30
p.m. in the Linda S. Pinson Conference Center, Room #1, 2415 Parkwood
Drive, Brunswick, Ga. The panelists will include Steve Barr, M.D., plastic
surgeon; Stephen Barrett, M.D., general surgeon; Diane Bowen, M.D., plastic
surgeon; Kenyon Meadows, M.D., radiation oncologist; Duane Moores, M.D.,
medical oncologist; and, Karen Crosby, R.N., BSN, breast care navigator.
A very similar event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6-7:30
p.m. at the Millhouse Steak House in Kingsland. The panelists for this
event will be Damon Brantley, M.D., general surgeon; Abraham Cheong, M.D.,
medical oncologist; Bradley Easterlin, M.D., plastic surgeon; Bruce Tripp,
M.D., radiation oncologist; and Karen Crosby, R.N., BSN, breast care navigator.
“We are excited to offer our communities these educational opportunities
and increase awareness of the many resources available for both preventative
care and breast cancer treatment options,” said Molly Brown, MHA,
RT(R)(M), manager, Radiology.
