November 5, 2015 – In honor of the men and women who have served
our country through military service, as well as their family members,
Southeast Georgia Health System will host Veterans Day Recognitions on
Wednesday, Nov. 11, 3-4 p.m., on the Brunswick and Camden campuses. The
events will include recognition of Veterans, guest speakers and patriotic music.
The celebrations, which are free and open to the public, will take place
at the Health System’s Brunswick Campus in the Linda S. Pinson Conference
Center, 2415 Parkwood Drive, and on the Camden Campus, 2000 Dan Proctor
Drive, St. Marys. Attendees are welcome to wear their uniforms and share
military memorabilia.
With a special focus on military appreciation, Veterans Day is a celebration
to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country,
and willingness to serve for the common good. Unlike Memorial Day, which
honors those in the military who died in service to their country or as
a result of injuries incurred during battle, Veterans Day pays tribute
to all veterans - especially to living veterans who served their country
during war or peacetime.
