with the Health System since
2013,
and received the award for consistently going above and beyond his job
expectations to support his fellow team members.
“We are very pleased to name Mike Lee as Star of the Year,”
says Patrick D. Ebri, Ph.D., FACHE, vice president, Human Resources. “On
the numerous occasions when a technical glitch could have adversely impacted
a meeting or presentation, his willingness to be part of the solution
has saved the day. His character and work ethic exemplify Southeast Georgia
Health System Service Excellence Standards and we congratulate him on
his hard work and dedication.”
The Health System launched the Star of the Quarter and Star of the Year
programs in 2010 as part of the organization’s initiative to recognize
team members who exceed expectations. Each quarter, Health System team
members nominate their peers for demonstrating one or more of the following
service excellence standards: accountability, compassion, dedication,
empowerment, initiative, ownership and teamwork in their interactions
with patients, visitors and/or fellow team members. From among the Stars
of the Quarter, a Star of the Year is chosen.
“Mike goes out of his way to assist anyone, anywhere, anytime he
is needed,” Ebri added. “His technical expertise is such that
he has often made recommendations that greatly improved a process or the
product on which he was working. His enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring
everything
goes
smoothly, no matter the task, sets him apart from others.”
Also providing remarks
wasGary
R. Colberg, FACHE, president and CEO. He acknowledged the contributions
of each Star of the Quarter and the Star of the Year. “We know our
Health System is only as good as our people, and each of our Stars
are
clearly shining examples of everything a team member should be,”
said Colberg. “It is their compassion and tireless efforts to deliver
the highest quality health care, their dedication to our mission, and
their enthusiasm for supporting their fellow team members that
makes
our Health System extraordinary. On behalf of the senior team and board
