May 1, 2015 – What are symptoms of heat exhaustion? How do you know
if you are dehydrated? When is it to hot to work or play outside?
Join Billy W. Carr III, CSCS, coordinator of Health Promotion & Wellness
with Southeast Georgia Health System, on Tuesday, May 5 as he answers
these questions and more during this month’s “Sports Smart,”
a question and answer session focusing on “How to Protect Yourself
From Heat and Dehydration.”
The drop-in event, which takes place 4:30-7 p.m. at the Golden Isles YMCA
in the Southeast Georgia Health System Health Information Center, located
at 144 Scranton Connector in Brunswick, is open to the community and does
not require YMCA membership. Participants are welcome to drop in during
the session to learn more about how to carefully work and play in the heat.
Southeast GeorgiaHealth System Sports Medicine presents the Sports Smart
series the first Tuesday of each month. The presenters and main topics,
