March 13, 2015 – Do you have a high-school student interested in
athletic training or considering a career in sports medicine?
Southeast Georgia Health System Sports Medicine certified athletic trainers
will provide valuable hands-on training for students entering grades 9-12
during a Student Athletic Trainer Camp June 22-24, 2015, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
The camp will be held at the Brunswick High School Gymnasium Athletic
Facilities, 3885 Altama Avenue.
This three-day comprehensive sports medicine camp is designed to introduce
high school students to the field of sports medicine and athletic training
and the many associated career opportunities. No previous experience is
necessary. Training will include:
- Injury treatment techniques
- Athletic taping & bracing techniques
- CPR & AED
- First aid
Students will have a chance to learn and practice their newly acquired
skills so that they can return to their high school feeling confident
in assisting their certified athletic trainer.
Space is limited and the camp is expected to fill up quickly; registration
is required and must be submitted by June 11, 2015. Cost for the three-day
camp is $85 and includes materials, camp shirt, lunch and snacks.
