June 12, 2015 – Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to announce
the naming of Kayleigh Crews and Gerald Dent as Stars of the Quarter.
Each quarter, Health System team members nominate their peers for performance
that exceeds the Health System’s standards of service excellence:
initiative, dedication, accountability, compassion, ownership, and teamwork.
From the many nominations, only two—one from each campus—are
chosen to be a Star of the Quarter.
Kayleigh Crews, a registrar in the Admissions department on the Camden
Campus, and Health System team member since 2009, consistently goes above
and beyond her job expectations to meet the needs of patients and visitors.
On one particular occasion, her quick thinking resulted in preventing
a bad outcome for a patient who had become unresponsive while in the restroom.
Without hesitation, Crews took action to ensure the patient’s safety
“Kayleigh’s character and work ethic exemplify the Southeast
Georgia Health System service excellence standards,” says Howard
W. Sepp Jr., FACHE, vice president and administrator, Camden Campus. “We
sincerely appreciate her dedication to always taking ownership of what
needs to be done and doing it well, and congratulate her on this well-deserved
Brunswick Campus Star of the Quarter Gerald Dent has worked in the Health
System Facilities Management department since 2008. Dent is recognized
by his fellow team members as a true example of a team player, ready to
“chip in” whenever and wherever needed and always with a smile.
“When asked to describe Gerald, the reply was ‘If I were asked
to put together a team, Gerald would be at the top of my list!’,”
says Patrick D. Ebri, Ph.D., FACHE, vice president, Human Resources. “Gerald
is loyal, efficient and approaches any task with a great attitude. We’re
very pleased to announce him as Star of the Quarter.”
