Jan. 5, 2014 – Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-St. Simons
Pediatrics, a strategic affiliate of Southeast Georgia Health System,
is pleased to welcome Melinda H. Peterlin, M.D.,
pediatrician, to the practice.
Peterlin earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University,
Evanston, Ill. and her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical
School, Chicago, Ill. Peterlin also completed a pediatric residency program
at Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana University School of Medicine,
Prior to joining the Health System, Peterlin worked in Kansas City, Mo.,
for Swope Health Services, one of the largest Federally Qualified Health
Centers in the country. While at Swope, she provided patient care, instructed
medical students on clinical rotations and served as Interim Chief Medical
Officer, as well as a variety of other administrative roles. Additionally,
Peterlin has extensive experience serving the healthcare needs of children
in rural communities. She was also honored to be able to serve the children
of our U.S. Armed Forces at the U.S. Army Pediatric Clinic in Heidelberg, Germany.
Having spent her formative years in Williamsburg, Va., Peterlin is now
excited to share the beautiful and historic coastal region with her family.
Peterlin joins fellow pediatricians Lee B. Heery, M.D. and Frances L. Owen,
M.D. as well as pediatric nurse practitioner Allison L. Stubbs, MSN, PNP-C at
Georgia Physician Associates-St. Simons Pediatrics, located at 7000 Wellness
Way, Suite 7230, St. Simons Island, Ga. Office hours are Monday through
Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. New patients are welcome and most insurance plans
