Feb. 19, 2015 —What is gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)? Should
I worry about heartburn? Can you medically or surgically manage GERD?
Indigestion is often a sign of an underlying problem, such as GERD, ulcers,
or gallbladder disease, rather than a condition of its own. People of
all ages and of both sexes are affected by indigestion.
Join us for the Lunch and Learn For Your Health lecture at the Golden
Isles YMCA from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, as Vincent K. Arlauskas, M.D.,
general
surgeon with Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Glynn General &
Vascular Surgery presents “Heartburn, Indigestion & GERD: Signs, Symptoms
and
Treatments.” Olive Garden will provide lunch at no charge to attendees.
The lecture will offer important information on risk factors, prevention
and treatment options of indigestion.
The Lunch and Learn For Your Health series takes place on the last Wednesday
of each month at the Golden Isles YMCA located at 144 Scranton Connector,
Brunswick. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required by calling
the YMCA at 912-265-4100.
