April 6, 2015 – What is the difference between minimally invasive
laparoscopic/robotic surgery and traditional open surgery? What are the
benefits of robotic surgery for a patient with urologic conditions? What
are the risks of a robotic surgery?
When medicine, lifestyle changes and other non-surgical treatments do
not relieve your urologic symptoms, your doctor may recommend surgery.
The state-of-the-art da Vinci®Surgical System uses the latest in surgical
and robotic technologies and is beneficial for performing complex surgery.
Surgeons at Southeast Georgia Health System use the da Vinci for many
urologic procedures.
Join us on Thursday, April 16, 2015, as Matthew D. Katz, M.D., board-certified
urologist and trained da Vinci specialist with Southeast Georgia Physician
Associates-Urology, presents “Benefits of da Vinci®Robotic Urologic
Surgery.” The lecture will offer important information on non-invasive
treatment options for both cancerous and non-cancerous urologic conditions,
the benefits and risks of a da Vinci procedure, and more.
The free lecture will take place 12-1 p.m. at the Southeast Georgia Health
System Camden Campus, Cafeteria Conference Room, 2000 Dan Proctor Drive,
St. Marys, Ga.
Lecture topics vary each month and a question and answer session is included
