Did you know that colorectal cancer, also known as colon cancer, is the
third most common cancer in both men and women in the United States? Do
you know the risk factors that may increase your chance of developing
colorectal cancer? The American Cancer Society has estimated that more
than half of all cases could be prevented by regular colonoscopy screening.
Join us on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, as Damon W. Brantley, M.D.,
general
surgeon with Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Camden General Surgery,
presents “What You Need to Know About Colon Cancer.” The lecture
will offer important information on colorectal cancer risk factors and
screening and treatment options.
The free lecture will take place 12-1 p.m. at the Southeast Georgia Health
System Camden Campus, Cafeteria Conference Room, 2000 Dan Proctor Drive,
St. Marys, Ga.
Every month, Southeast Georgia Health System offers free health education
lectures. Topics of discussion vary each month. At the conclusion of each
lecture, the speaker will hold a question and answer session. In addition,
a light lunch is served.
Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Camden General Surgery is a strategic
