In honor of the men and women who have served our country through military
service, Southeast Georgia Health System will host Veterans Day Recognitions
on Tuesday, November 11, from 3-4 p.m. on the Brunswick and Camden campuses.
The events will include guest speakers and patriotic music. Attendees
are welcome to wear their uniforms and share military memorabilia.
The celebrations, which are free and open to the public, will take place
at the Southeast Georgia Health System Senior Care Center, 2611 Wildwood
Drive in Brunswick, and the Health System Camden Campus, 2000 Dan Proctor
Drive in St. Marys.
With a special focus on military appreciation, Veteran's Day is a celebration
to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country,
and willingness to serve for the common good. Unlike Memorial Day, which
honors those in the military who died in service to their country or as
a result of injuries incurred during battle, Veteran's Day pays tribute
to all veterans - especially to living veterans who served their country
during war or peacetime.
