Cecelia Granahan, BS, R.N., ONC, COHN-S, has been elected to the Association
of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare (AOHP) Executive Board
of Directors. Granahan, a nurse in the Southeast Georgia Health System
Team Member Health department, has more than 20 years of nurse management
experience and has been with the Health System for 19 years. She is nationally
certified in orthopedic nursing (ONC) and is a certified occupational
health nurse-specialist (COHN-S).
Granahan previously served as the AOHP Georgia Chapter president, vice
president, and secretary at the state level. The regional director is
a nationally elected position by ballot, and Granahan is one of only five
elected directors
nation wide
. She will organize educational efforts, act as a liaison between all AOHP
chapters and professional organizations, and serve on the Executive Board
of Directors. The Region 5 areas of responsibility encompass all of North
Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and
Louisiana. This two-year elected position will allow Granahan to provide
valuable information to the Executive Board of Directors regarding chapter
activities, coordinate site visits, support and provide guidance to chapter
presidents, and serve as a member of the Planning Committee for Continuing
Education.
