Did you know the five-year survival rate of breast cancer is over 90 percent
when caught early? Do you know when or how to be screened for breast cancer?
What is the next step if you or someone you love is diagnosed? According
to the American Cancer Society there is no sure way to prevent breast
cancer. However, there are things all women can do that might reduce their
risk and help increase the odds that if cancer does occur, it will be
found at an early, more treatable stage.
Join us on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, as Abraham Cheong, M.D., medical oncologist
with Southeast Georgia Physician Associates- Hematology & Oncology,
presents on "Breast Cancer Awareness." The lecture will offer
important information on breast cancer from prevention, to diagnosis to
recovery and hope.
The free lecture will take place from 12 - 1 p.m. at Velocity Health &
Fitness, 1520 West Orange Street, Jesup, GA.
Every month, Southeast Georgia Health System offers free health education
lectures. Topics of discussion vary each month. At the conclusion of each
lecture, the speaker will hold a question and answer session. In addition,
a light lunch will be served.
