Tiffany and Kyle Jurgens of Brunswick welcomed the newest addition to their
family, August William, on January 1, 2014. Baby boy August arrived at
9:43 p.m. on New Year’s Day at the Southeast Georgia Health System
Miriam & Hugh Nunnally Maternity Care Center in Brunswick as Glynn
County’s first baby of 2014.
August was delivered by
board-certified
obstetrician and gynecologist Matthew M. Johnston, M.D., and weighed in
at 7 lbs., 11 oz., and measured 20-1/2 inches long. He is the couple’s
first child.
Little August follows in the footsteps of his great-uncle Chris, who was
the 1964 New Year’s baby in Bristol, Pa.
Each year, more than 1,300 babies are born at the Miriam & Hugh Nunnally
Maternity Care Center, which was completely renovated and expanded in
2010. August was one of two babies born on
new
Year’s Day.
To welcome the New Year’s baby, the Health System presented the happy
parents with a large gift basket full of gifts and baby care necessities
from the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus Gift Shop.
