Jean Farrant was named Volunteer of the Quarter at the Southeast Georgia
Health System Brunswick Campus Auxiliary’s quarterly luncheon on
Thursday, March 6, 2014. A member of the Auxiliary for more than 25 years,
Farrant currently volunteers in Guest Services on Monday mornings and
other times as needed.
"Jean has held various leadership roles within the Auxiliary, including
serving as President for almost seven years," says Kristin Doll,
director of Volunteer Services. "She has played an important role
in the growth and evolution of our Auxiliary volunteer program."
A St. Simons Island resident, Farrant has also volunteered at the Lighthouse
Historical Museum. She has two children and four grandchildren.
"I’ve been with the Health System through many ups and downs,
including when Mr. Colberg joined us as CEO in 2001—a definite up,"
says Farrant. "I enjoy volunteering at the Guest Services desk, helping
people and staying busy."
More than 300 volunteers currently enjoy sharing their time and talents
to assist patients, visitors, and team members at the Southeast Georgia
Health System Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior Care
Centers in Brunswick and St. Marys. To find out more about volunteer opportunities,
