Madeleine Knight was named Volunteer of the Quarter at the Southeast Georgia
Health System Camden Campus Auxiliary’s quarterly luncheon on Monday,
Sept. 16, 2013.
A Health System volunteer since 2008, Madeleine volunteers at the Camden
Campus Gift Shop office twice weekly.
Madeleine and her husband, Zernie, who also volunteers with the Health
System and was previously named Volunteer of the Quarter, live in St.
Marys, Ga.They have two children and four grandchildren, and enjoy traveling,
eating out, and gardening.
“Madeleine’s dedication to serving our patients and guests
in the Gift Shop is remarkable,” says Kristin Doll, director, Volunteer
Services. “She has only missed a couple of days over the past five
years and those were arranged well in advance.”
More than 300 volunteers currently enjoy sharing their time and talents
to assist patients, visitors, and team members at the Southeast Georgia
Health System Brunswick and Camden campuses, as well as the Senior CareCenters
