Southeast Georgia Health System Receives Three Star UnitedHealth Premium® Total Joint Replacement Specialty Center Designation
Southeast Georgia Health System is proud to announce its JointReplacementCenterhas
received the UnitedHealth Premium specialty center designation of Three
Stars in recognition of its quality care and cost efficiency.
“The UnitedHealth Premium designation means that our health system
has met extensive quality and outcomes criteria based on nationally recognized
medical standards and expert advice,” says J. Kevin Brooks, M.D.,
medical director, SoutheastGeorgiaHealthSystemJointReplacementCenter.
“The criteria incorporate measurements of breadth and depth of care,
staff experience, emergency care, quality and outcomes reporting.”
“This honor validates the level of quality care and attention to
detail our team puts into the patient’s experience, from the pre-surgical
education to the joint replacement procedure, and the specialized recovery
care provided in our recently opened Orthopaedic & Spine Center,”

UnitedHealthcare®developed the UnitedHealth Premium specialty center
program to give its members information and access to hospitals meeting
rigorous quality criteria. The designation is based on detailed information
about specialized training, practice capabilities and outcomes and is
designed to help members make informed decisions should they need total
joint replacement care.
