Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Neurosciences, a strategic affiliate
of Southeast Georgia Health System, is pleased to welcome neurologist
Atrac A. Kay, M.D., to the practice. The practice offers treatment for
multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy and other seizure disorders, Parkinson’s
disease, headaches, dementia, diabetic neuropathy
and
other neurological disorders. Dr. Kay earned his medical degree from Ross
University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Commonwealth of Dominica.
He completed his residency in neurology at Duke University Hospital in
Durham, N.C. Prior to that, he completed an internal medicine internship at
University
of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and obtained a Master of Science
degree in physiology from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Prior
to joining the Health System, Dr. Kay completed a clinical/research fellowship
in vascular neurology/stroke from the University of Auckland in Auckland,
New Zealand. He has a long history of volunteerism, including serving
as a volunteer doctor at Kenyatta Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya and Mulago
Hospital in Kampala, Uganda. He is currently the principal investigator
of a multiple sclerosis research study. Dr. Kay joins board-certified
neurologist Lori A. Trefts, M.D. and family nurse practitioner Marion
Alston, FNP. Southeast Georgia Physician Associates – Neurosciences
