Tim Bryant, CRA, MBA, RT(R)(N), manager, Radiology & Cardiopulmonary
Services, Camden Campus, has received the credential of Certified Radiology
Administrator (CRA) through the Radiology Administration Certification
Commission (RACC). “We are very proud of Tim’s accomplishment
and his dedication to advancing his expertise and knowledge,” says
Howard W. Sepp, Jr., FACHE, vice president/administrator, Camden Campus.
“Tim has played a significant role in ensuring the Radiology department
at the Camden Campus continually offers high quality, safe care for our
community, and this professional distinction, which is only accomplished
by a select few in his field, is
evident
of his commitment.” Bryant joined the staff at Southeast Georgia
Health System–Camden Campus in 2007. Prior to joining the Health
System, Bryant served in a similar capacity in the U.S. Air Force. A
20 year
veteran, he served as an X-ray and Nuclear Medicine Technologist, in both
patient care and supervisory roles. Bryant ended his military career as
a Radiology Department Manager near Anchorage, AK. Bryant is active in

Administrators,
and serves as Vice President of Programs for the Kings Bay Council of
the U.S. Navy League. He holds a Masters in Business Administration in
Healthcare Management from Columbia Southern University, a bachelor’s
degree in Business Management from Southern Christian University, and
an associate degree in Radiologic Technology and Nuclear Medicine Technology.
He is also nationally registered with the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists in both Radiologic Technology and Nuclear Medicine. Bryant
resides in Woodbine, GA. Karen S. Beaver, CRA, MBA, director, Radiology,
Brunswick Campus, also holds the CRA designation. The Certified Radiology
Administrator (CRA) program is the first and only credentialing opportunity
recognizing the range of skills and expertise an imaging administrator
possesses. The credential was designed to recognize professional competencies
in five key medical imaging management areas: -Financial Management -Communication
and Information Management -Human Resource Management -Operations Management
-Asset Management Candidates who meet education and experience requirements
and pass a national examination are awarded the credential CRA. Since
2002, more than 1000 imaging professionals have earned the only credential
that recognizes medical imaging management excellence, with only 31 CRAs
in the state of Georgia.
