Terry Griffin First Recipient of Southeast Georgia Health System/Military Officers Association of America Scholarship
The first Southeast Georgia Health System/Military Officers Association
of America (SGHS/MOAA) scholarship was recently presented to Terry Griffin,
a Screven, Ga., resident.
Last year, the Health System paired up with the Golden Isles Chapter of
Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) to establish the Southeast
Georgia Health System/Military Officers Association of America Scholarship
for Clinical Education. The endowed scholarship is granted to a graduating
high school senior or a transitioning military veteran into the civilian
world of clinical services. The recipient will receive $2,000.
Griffinserved in the United States Armed Forces for eight and a half years.
Currently a sophomore at College of CoastalGeorgia, he is a pre-BSN Nursing
student. His goal is to become a nurse practitioner specializing in oncology
or neurology.
