HART, Humane Animal Resource Team, Inc. of McIntoshCounty, has donated
more than 850 brand new stuffed animals to the Southeast Georgia Health
System Foundation since January 2013. The stuffed dogs and cats are given
to pediatric patients in several Brunswickand Camden Campus departments,
including the EmergencyCareCenters, pediatrics, radiology, and outpatient surgery.
“Holding a new cuddly stuffed animal helps children feel comforted
and protected when they aren’t feeling well,” says Krista
Robitz, director, Development, Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation.
“We are very thankful to HART for their generosity and compassion
towards our young patients.”
The Southeast Georgia Health System mission of providing safe, quality
and cost-effective care to meet the health care needs of the people and
communities it serves is strengthened by the generosity of donor’s
philanthropic gifts. Established in 1994, the Southeast Georgia Health
System Foundation is the fundraising and resource development organization
for Southeast Georgia Health System. For more information about the Foundation
